Drop the project
Choose the project folder, or the draft_content.json inside it. CapCut keeps its drafts here:

Inspect the timeline
See every cut, lane and caption before you pay. Then download a free 5-clip test and check sync in your editor.

Import into your editor
Open the XML, then add the .srt for captions. If a clip shows offline, relink it to your media folder.

Import the Timeline XML
Open DaVinci Resolve > File > Import > Timeline... (or press Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and select your .xml file.

Load XML Dialog Options
Keep “Automatically set project settings” checked. If media files are stored in a dedicated folder, point to it directly.

Relink Offline Media
If media paths shifted, select the offline clips in the Media Pool, right-click, and select “Relink Selected Clips...”. Select your source media folder.

Subtitles (.SRT)
Go to File > Import > Subtitle... and select -captions.srt. A Subtitle track is automatically added with full styling controls in the Subtitle Inspector.

Import the XML Sequence
Open Premiere Pro > File > Import... (or Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and select your .xml file.

Sequence in Project Bin
A sequence bin will appear containing video tracks, audio lanes, and cut points. Double-click the sequence to open it in your Timeline panel.

Link Media If Needed
If files show the offline screen, right-click clips in the Project panel > Link Media... > click Locate and select your media folder.

Subtitles (.SRT)
Import -captions.srt via File > Import, then drag onto your sequence. Customize in the Essential Graphics panel.
